The idea came from a pretty ordinary frustration. You want to know if the IHOP down the road is open before you drive over, and you end up bouncing between a map listing, a review site with hours from three years ago, and the official site which wants you to pick a location first. It should not take that long to answer a simple question.
What you will find here
The main page covers regular weekday and weekend hours, holiday schedules, and the questions people actually search for, like whether breakfast runs all day or which locations stay open through the night. We also publish occasional articles when something changes or when a topic needs more room than a table can give it.
Where the information comes from
Hours listed here are the typical schedule across most IHOP locations. They come from the official IHOP restaurant locator, individual restaurant listings, and public announcements from the company. We review the pages regularly and update them when something changes.
Here is the honest limitation, and it matters. IHOP restaurants are mostly owned by franchisees, and each owner sets their own hours. That means no single schedule is correct everywhere. A location near a highway might run 24 hours while one a few miles away closes at nine. Holiday hours vary even more.
So treat what you read here as a reliable starting point, not a guarantee. If you are making a special trip, or heading out late, or it is a holiday, check the official IHOP locator or call the restaurant. We say this on the pages themselves too, because it would be worse to leave it out.
